Sixteen first generation, mostly foreign born, mostly English language learners, mostly children of seasonal farm workers, Bakersfield College community college students joined forces to study transfer, visit college campuses, and present sessions at professional math conferences.  Their goal is simple.  They want to make the college success and transfer more readily available to future college students.  They have completed one year of being a CLIP!   They built on prior success as the group who began the Future Teachers Club, Delano Chapter, and established the peer tutoring program at the Delano Center.  They successfully juggled work, family, classes, clubs, and this NSF project.  Read their stories, see their PowerPoint presentations, review the results of their studies.  To navigate, click on any button found at the top of each page.
